Love the pattern but what did you use for the beak? Did I miss something?
Hi Shanda! Thank you for the comment.
Threads and glue: “Tie a black thread between the eyes as in the photo and glue the two threads together, after you have cut them to the right size.”
Hi, would I be able to get your permission to make some of these to sell for charity? My mother, a very keen crafter, is sadly suffering from a very cruel disease called Progessive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). It is said that when the brains of people with this currently untreatable condition are scanned, there is a telltale hummingbird shape visible.
If I can, I’d like to try and contact my mum’s crafty friends, family members and old clubs to see if I could raise an army of crafters to make some and sell them to raise money for PSPA. I feel it would be the perfect way to honour her, use up some of her craft materials (she lost the ability to do crafts a couple of years ago and is now close to the end of life💔) and raise money for a good cause.
Hi Sally,
The pattern is free and you can crochet it and sell the creations. Good health to your mother.
Buenas noches, mil gracias por compartir Que Dios le Bendiga y le llene de muchas ideas para seguir compartiendo. Felicidades.
There is a mistake in the pattern that I found in Instruction line #9 for the Body and Head. It should read ” 8scW, 3scG, 2incG, 4scG, 2scW = 21. The original instructions show 2decG as the third item – which will not give you the 21 stitches needed. Hope that helps everyone. The hummingbirds are just gorgeous when done. Thank you so much for the free pattern!! I made some to sell to raise money for a Children’s Hospital in our town.
Hi Debbie! Thank you so much <3. I corrected it. 😀
