Ant – Amigurumi – Free crochet pattern

Here is a cute ant from the creator Svetlana Meshchenko – a wonderful gift in any circumstance for the little ones but also for the big lovers of crocheted toys.

Materials:

• Yarn in three colors (gray, orange and black).  For the Chamomile: white, green and yellow (thinner yarn than those with which you crochet the ant).
• Number of crochet according to the yarn
• In the original pattern, the creator Svetlana Meshchenko  uses “Semenovskaya Carolina” yarn,  430m/100 gr.
• The wire for the frame and antennae is thinner. It takes about 36cm for the body including legs and head, 22cm for the hands.
• A bit of red yarn for the tongue. (cotton n°8 or thinner)
• Plastic eyes, oval (2×1.5 cm) or certainly whoever wants can embroider or make them in felt

I used 300m / 100g acrylic wool and no.2.5 crochet hook. The ant has 20 cm without antennae.

Cut the thread, leaving the end for sewing. Stuff a little. Sew on. Embroider eyebrows, make antennae (insert a wire into the head, drip a little glue on the tip of the black thread and wrap the wire. At the end, drip glue again on the tip of the thread to keep the thread from unraveling. Bend the tip of the antennae, attach the eyes.

ASSEMBLY AND DESIGN

• Sew around the tongue.

• Pull the mouth on both sides.

• Clogging up of the eyes. Don’t pull too much!

• Sew the head on the body.

CHAMOMILE (white, yellow and green color yarn)

Stem

Cut the wire 7 cm and wrap it with green thread, dripping a little glue on the ends of the thread.

The middle of the flower (yellow color yarn)
