Vanellope Doll – free crochet pattern

Vanellope Von Schweetz is the co-star of Disney’s 2012 animated feature film Wreck-It Ralph and its 2018 sequel. Vanellope is a very short girl with large brown, and sometimes green eyes and rather large ears. She has cheeks as red as the tip of her nose and long black hair adorned with candies, tied with liquorice to form a long tail. She always wears a light blue hooded sweatshirt and a brown skirt, with black shoes and light blue and white striped socks.

Here is the Vanellope doll, a free pattern found on the internet, its creator being Luisa Maria Arango Perez. I translated and interpreted this pattern in my own way so that it could be understood by as many amigurumi lovers as possible. I hope you like it and find joy when you crochet it! Have a crocheted day!

EYES (black, brown, green – embroidery thread, hook 1.25 mm)

  • 1. Start with black: 6sc in MR
  • 2. 6 inc = 12
  • 3. (3sc, inc)x 3 = 15
  • 4. Change to brown: 7 inc, 1sc = 15 (only 8 black sc are crocheted)
  • 5. Change to green: 15slst,

Cut a piece of white felt and sew it to the eye with transparent sewing thread. Paint the light of the eyes with white.

It will be sewn on the face, centering well. With black thread sew the outline of the eyes and embroider the eyelashes as in the photo.

The eyes are positioned 6sc apart.

Important: Before sewing the eyes, mouth and ears, make the shape of the face (mouth):

With the light apricot yarn, insert the needle into the neck hole, remove it in round 41, insert it back 1sc distance and remove it under the neck hole, tighten the thread well. Repeat 3-4 times and then exit with the needle at the same entry point and tie the threads. At 8-9 sc distance repeat the same procedure.

Embroider the eyebrows with black acrylic yarn: 2 rows above the eyes on 10 sc with an inclination of 1 sc.

Embroider the nose between rows 35-36. Make on 4 sc several passes with thread and then over these around until you get the shape.

Embroider the mouth under the nose, on row 41 on 8-9 sc with two pink lines and one white in the center. You can color the threads with acrylic paint colors.
